Used stick first time in my shaving life today and it was Just WOW.. How little you need to get great lather. Simply WOW.. Great shave

I have one question and hope many will hlep me with this. So I opened foil on the stick half way and used it. Now after shave, how should I cover the stick or just keep it open and that should be fine? See the picture to get an idea what I am asking

I let mine dry a bit then toss it back in the box. Open is fine, too.

Hi,

I just loosely wrap my Arko back in it's wrapper and call it good.

One of my favorite soaps, both for scent and performance. I'm about to finish off a couple of milled sticks that I've been using since September. Without a doubt, it will be replaced. :thumbup1:

Speick is an awesome soap!! I usually just let my dry without covering it up.

I agree with the wow wow wow! I picked up one of these with the idea that it would go in my travel kit. I used for two weeks straight on my last vacation. Now it has become part of my regular rotation. I took it out of the foil and I just drop it back in the box when I'm done shaving. Still smells and performs great.

I love the Speick Stick and I have rolled a latex glove over it and it works great.

I've been using mine for about two weeks and I agree that it's pretty great. Tons of lubrication and a great scent. I lived in Germany for three years but I was still latched on the M3 teat. I wish I would of discovered this stuff while shopping on the local economy.

I grated mine into a shaving cup and pressed it into a puck. I love the scent of Speick, it's one of my favorites.

I let mine dry and then put it into an old prescription pill bottle, fits perfectly.

Keep your eyes peeled for an old Colgate shave stick chrome tube with cap. Fits perfect and looks cool.

This may need to be my next actual purchase. Bartering for Arko is fun, and today even involved slaughtering a goat, but sometimes I take relief in the simplicity of fiat currency.

It's great, now that I've learned to rub lots of it on and use plenty of water (but gradually). Lovely soap.

I don't cover it in any way and don't have any problems.

Can't wait to try mine. I got a Williams shave stick can in a fleabay lot and want to use it for travel. So I filled it with a Speick tube but haven't tried it yet.

I am almost through my first stick. I took off all the foil, and put it in the box after use. I have had no problems.

Well, I think there are some other latex items, that might fit better! Sorry but the imagery was just funny in my mind, especially when a couple of posts down there was mention of lubrication.

On a more serious note, is this a similar consistency to Arko? I don't really like shave sticks for daily use, so I was wondering if it could be crushed into a cup like Arko, or is it harder and need to be milled? This is in the next 3 soaps I want to try.

No- it is more along the lines of a triple milled soap. If you must take it out of stick form, you will need to mill it.

I milled mine, it is a great performer. I am starting to gravitate to the speed and efficiency of sticks, so I will probably not mill it next time.
