Marketplace for Shaving Gear

I would really love to see the Marketplace be restricted to shaving gear. I would prefer not to sift through postings for cell phones and other stuff not related to shave gear. Perhaps a secondary Marketplace could be established for B&B members who want to sell, find or trade non shaving related gear.

Just my 2 cents.

Nice suggestion Roger. I have posted a few non shave stuff for sale and it does feel a bit odd to be doing so inbetween other listings that are related to shaving. Can the Shopping segment be used for this sort of postings? If that was the intention of creating that segment in the first place then i am sorry for posting in the wrong section and also a better description would help a lot of us instead of the simple "wheels and deals".

This is a most welcome post, it gives us a chance to point out one of the great features of the B&B to our new members. We have just a few guidelines in the B/S/T forum which you can find here (http://badgerandblade.com/vb/showthread.php?t=18590), once in a while a member will post a watch, pen or other "off topic'' item, but I do not think that anyone has abused or even pushed the envelope on this one bit.

The Shopping Forum is for vendors to post their announcements and for members to post sales, specials, coupon codes, closeouts and what have you.

I tend to agree with Jim. Not only has the shave mall not been abused too frequently, but one of the underlying principles of this site is that it is more about the members than the gear itself.

I'd rather buy a bicycle from a friend here than a toggle from a stranger.

Since almost everything sold is shave related, I don't think it's necessary to worry too much about the rest.

I just looked through the last 200 BST posts. One pda/cellphone, one fountain pen (strange that I sold the pda and bought the pen). Man, that's a lot of sifting.

I think of OT sales as a bonus for members, because the sellers could probably get a better price posting it in the correct specific forum.
