Well let me start by saying life's little ironies have a way of sneaking up on us and if we don't laugh at them we'll cry. Next let me say that my ancestry is, you guessed it Italian. Finally as I approach 50 I find that I've all but lost my close vision. So here I am for the last 30 years hacking and rushing through my morning shave and now that I've finally found this fine place and have turned shaving into an almost spiritual event I can't see a darn thing. Pretty Ironic....

Blues,
I can hear you, but I can't see you! Welcome to the club.
Have you ever tried a 5X or 10X mirror? (Mine came from a local Big Box bathroom and linens store.) I'm still adjusting, but enjoying finally seeing the culprits that try to avoid my morning routine.

You're probably not as handsome as you once were either. You can still feel the results. Or, put your glasses back on.

As far as "put your glasses back on" Thats the other thing, I set em' down the other day and I still can't find em'. Now either someones' moved them or the memory's starting to short circuit....

Dan, while I understand the aging process (I will soon be 60), I fail to see how a tool and die maker, who I know can eyeball a 64th, can't see to shave (I once operated a metal lathe as a young man, and I could eyeball a 32ed after only a summer.
None-the-less, we all break down.
Welcome.

Exactly John, I used to have almost x-ray vision. Now without my aforementioned glasses I can't see anything within the distance of my own arm.
As far as work I do just fine, I don't have to contend with the steam generated by the hot water in the bathroom sink.
All this has been typed with the ironies of aging in mind and a good sense of humor. It just goes to prove the old saying, Youth is wasted on the young....
