It's possible that it's not a Cadman but considering the quantity of T.R. Cadman that were imported in Oz, chances are, it is...

It's an early one & pre 1890. The Cadman familly had the Bengall name long before Voos made a Bengal which is incidentally with one "L" not 2.

Voos & Essers KG, Solingen. 1932, Klauberger Str. 9a. 1939. Brand names:
'Bengal', 'Hans Sachs', 'Huveso', 'Nip-Nip', 'Upsal'. Razor-blade maker.

The scales look like horn which is compressed hair. It will sizzle when heat is applied. Best way to tell is give it a wet sand with some fine wetndri. If it smells like wet dog, it's horn. Plastic wasn't used on razors of that vintage. Of course the scales could've been swapped.

Hi there m8, well a fellow Tasmanian ay, nice to see, if you dont already know its a pre tr cadman, he took over the family buisness in 1871 from what i know was luke cadman and his sons between 1748 and 1871. So its definatly pre 1871, hope this helps.
