Merkur 38C and satin Futur F/S

Offered for sale are two Merkur razors. The 38C is in excellent condition, I see no scratches or dings to it. It's been used but looks great. $37 shipped.
The satin Futur is a great shaver but has a finish defect on the head. No other marks on it. You can see a narrow straight line across the head. The camera flash accentuates it . Still a great razor though and offered at a significant discount over a new one. $45 shipped.

Does the defect cause any scratching when you run your finger over it? I cant tell if its just appearance or if it will very slightly impact the quality of the shave. How did the defect occur if you dont mind?

The head of the razor is smooth. The razor was purchased new by my son and this was the way it came. It should have been returned to the vendor but wasn't. It's been used both by him and me and the mark has not changed and is not likely to get any worse.
