Antique store here has one in case w/o blade case for $12.50. Been thinking about buying it, but I've bought six razors in the past two months....

It take the picture to mean all you really need is a handle?

Should be really easy to find a handle in nice shape attached to a beat up head on the cheap.

Any of the guys who do custom razor heads should have drawer-fulls of old unused handles.

Good Idea, I wonder if any members here would be a good candidate, any restorers here?

Well, none of the plating on the razor or blade safe is perfect, not much plate loss, more like the plating is worn kind of thin in spots but still intact. I just really like the case, it looks like a gold pocket edition. The ball end old type isn't my dream razor or anything...I have several others but none with the gold finish.

I thought about using small hose clamps and epoxy and closing up the split and filling it with epoxy but that split is mighty big.
