Need a cologne to compliment my A/S

Ok gents I love Pinaud Clubman and use it most days. I am looking for a cologne that will compliment it and having a hard time. Any ideas?

For a cheap everyday scent Dana's Canoe is almost a dead match. In the upper tier the Racquets is a good bet. Canoe is a great substitute for the more expensive Racquets though I have to admit there is a component to the Racquets that shoves it to a notch higher in sophistication.

Clubman is loud and tenacious to the point where I don't think it plays nicely with other scents. I'd just stick with the AS and maybe splash a bit on your chest as well.

I agree with you. The Pinauds that I regularly use (Clubman, Clubman Special Reserve and LV) are too assertive to match up with anything else. If I wear Clubman, that's all I use for the day.

I tried Clubman once with Pour Monsieur Concentre and it wasn't bad, but the Clubman did dominate. It's a pretty loud AS.

racquets is just like clubman imo. caused me allergies because of its powderiness though

I try to use a balm that compliments my cologne.

do you even need a cologne to go with clubman? the stuff lasts all day on its own, just splash a little extra on if you need to make it last longer or project more. Some versions like the special reserve even say after shave cologne.
