I personally have a container for everything. 1 container for my arko stick or whatever stick im going with because this seems to be the easiest way when you are in the boondocks, case for my razor blades which doubles as a waterproof match safe, and a case for my razor. All kept in my northface backpack and I try and stay next to a stream of some sort and heat my water that i use for the shave and a cup of tea in the morning. How do you guys pack for trips into the wild with only one bag when you can't go without that BBs shave?

I know everytime I am roughing it and have an impromptu job interview or emergency first date I like to... well... err... come to think about it, nothing like that has ever happened.
There is a term we have for those who like to shave when they are on a hunting expedition and the like. We call that "weird".
All kidding aside, shaving doesn't rate very high on the need-o-meter. Water, Shelter, Safety, Food, those are your needs, shaving is a want.

When I go camping I usually won't shave if its just a weekend. A week or more trip I toss a Tech with a blade in my soap dish. I will rough it and just use a bar of soap for lube after I wash my face. I only do this because I will start getting itchy and get pimples and such if I go more than 3-4 days without shaving. If I am car camping for a couple weeks I bring a shave stick, brush, and Slim along.

I was under the impression that Bear Grylls "roughed it" in 5 star hotels.
Whenever I go camping I just wait to shave until I get back. Interesting setup though. Got any pics?

I go without a shave.
OK, I have been known in the distant past to take a single disposable along and shave using Pack Soap. But there are more important things to do when I'm out in the boonies.

I try to keep clean and shaved even in the backcountry. Just makes me feel better. And I hate climbing into my expensive sleeping bag dirty.
My methods are constantly evolving, but here's how I handled it on my most recent backpacking trip:
Went for a swim in a lake. Took my titanium cooking pot and mug with me and filled them with water as I got out.
Walked away from the shore so as to avoid polluting the lake with soap.
Lathered up from a quarter-ounce sample container of Castle Forbes (a little goes a long way - I can get about four shaves from that little container - and a Turkish #6 brush. Shaved with a (shudder) disposable - a sample I received in the mail that was light and looked sturdy (I've had problems in the past with the heads snapping off the handles in my pack). I use a signaling mirror. Weight of all the above wrapped in a small chamois: maybe half a pound. I count ounces, but it's worth it to me to feel like a human being. I'd have the signaling mirror and chamois along with me anyway, even if I didn't want to shave, so it really only adds a very few ounces.
Squeezed the remaining lather from the brush and used it as soap on the rest of me.
Rinsed off with the water in the pot and cup.
Voila! A lavender-scented mountain man!

As I stated in numerous posts because of health concerns I no longer hunt anymore, but for the 45+ yrs. when I did hunt I never shaved in the field. Now my idea of the outdoors is white sands, and waiters.

My knees haven't been up to deep country hunting for quite a few years, but when they were I never shaved on the hunt. Just never considered it as part of the program. Fortunately my love of duck and goose hunting continues unabated, but even on a full week hunt I'm back in a lodge, or room, or camper, every night so I have my normal travel kit with me. There is a trend I see for more opportunities for disabled adults and kids to get out and hunt. I have see a few blinds that are probably ADA compliant. I am a great believer in giving a gift of the outdoors and taking a kid hunting or fishing so better access is always a plus.
Sorry I stray at times, I would go with shave stick like Arko which can double as regular soap (smells like regular soap), Tech razor with blades as required for the number of shaves you will need, cheap boar brush, and witch hazel to finish.
