Early Christmas - part 1

Good Day everyone;
The first of my two online shopping spree packages has shown up today in the mail. Package # 1 contains Crystal, Astra, Feather, Derby and Sharp(?) blades, a HJM brush, col. Conk Amber & Bay Rum soaps and a Timor razor with same brand blades. Package # 2 has EJ soap (Seabuckthorn), Plisson soap, Speick (yay for Speicktember) a Vie horse brush and Razorock but I imagine that will be next week's surprise. Thanks to everyone who pointed me to the online vendors :thumbup1:. Here's the question - is there an order in which to try the blades? I'm curious and nervous about the feathers and have never heard about the Sharps...

Congrats on your haul! Most of us differ widely on which blades are best, so you should try them "blind" to avoid prejudging your experience. If you're worried about the Feather, then save it for later when you feel your technique is settling in.

Thanks :) curisoity got the better of me and I tried the feather... Then the feather got the better of me - 6 nicks but what a shave!!!! I shaved at 7am and it's now just after half past 10 and there's no trace of stubble. Tks for the tip on blind selection - I think I am going to do that and see what transpires. And yes, the feathers are going to a safe place till I get better at shaving. I gave some of my haul to my gf's dad to get his opinion - he's been shaving the DE way for decades - the feathers scare him too.
