Bakelite handled tech

First razor I bought was a bakelite handled tech at a flea market. Lot's of plate loss on the head and some rusting too. Not really interested in re-plating. What can I do to get it in shave shape?

toothbrush, scrubbing bubbles, barbicide....put in hot water to kills germs, then barbicide bath. get the toothbrush and scrubbing bubbles and clean away. hot water rinse.
