H Boker King Cutter and Griffon XX are two different razors. Is one in the others box? Do you have pictures?

Both are good quality razors, I have shaved with the Boker and its a fantastic razor.

What he said.

Pics always help. No experience with Griffon either, but Bokers are great razors. And yes, 5/8 is prbably a good place to start.

To echo above, either would be a great starter razor. Post pics if/when you can.

+1 on the Boker, if it's vintage. I have heard negative comments about new Bokers.

I have a Boker Red Injun that, while not the nicest-looking razor, it does the job. And 5/8 is a good "beginner and up" size.

I also have a Griffin but it is not shave-ready yet, despite having been marketed as such.

I have a Griffon Carbo-Magnetic. Great edge, but a mean little spike point.

Had a Griffon once, real nice razor. Takes a great edge.

Vintage Bokers can be quite fine if they're not trashed.
I had a new Bokker King Kutter and it was wonderful.
I have a new Boker 'Celebrated' and it's amazing.
I have a vintage 7/8 Injun and it's pretty sweet.
