Complex clay based soap, with a plethora (Ron :tongue: ) of herbs, butters, barks and rare extracts, scented in an intoxicating, exceptionally rare, expeller pressed Lavender oil, from Naarda, Syria. This soap is actually designed for Thiers Issard Damascus and Hammer Forged razors specifically, however I was testing it out with the feather!

As I understand it, the Trumper Fougere is not available in the States but is this the same
stuff as the Wild Fern than can be found here in the states?

The Proraso gave me a great shave. I did a ATG pass first set at 9. Then re-lather and a WTG at 9 for the second and last pass.
The aftershave is a delight.

5 out of 6 of my last shaves have been with the MB diogenes club soap...and it is truly fantastic! Lots of good reviews out there, so I won't go on and on...but the scent is GREAT...very strong on the bergamot, but there is a nice tobacco note and black pepper scent binds it all together.

This is one soap I thought would irritate my face (based on scent) but hasn't AT ALL. On the contrary, I think my neck looks better than ever. Don't know if it is the soap, but I have noticed a few ingrowns basically helping themselves out of my face since I've been using this soap a lot...some of them I wasn't even aware of (I was like, "oh, so YOU were hiding in there").

The scent seems to mellow once applied (and change a bit)...the bergamot settles down and there's almost a talcish scent (reminds me of clubman talc, but not exactly the same).

I found that proraso ASB goes really well with this soap.

I said I wouldn't go on and on and I did it anyway...many apologies to all.
