I have picked up and shaved with straights over the past two years with pretty good results...despite my tag line on my name, I have not shaved with an electric in well over a year.

Anyways, I usually end up selling my straights and going back to my DE...well last week I purchased a Japanese straight from the BST. I no longer have a strop, so I foresee another purchase in my future.

I have already bugged Henry with Japanese Straight questions; but if you all have any advice I am all ears!

Nope, it is a Japanese razor. The kind with the differen grinds on either side of the blade.

did you actually try it? does a kamisori get stropped?
