Hi I'm wondering if any if you can figure out what razor this batch of cartridges I have here is from.

I spent a little while this morning matching my various razors with their various cartridges (which was harder to do than I would have imagined). But there's one set of blade cartridges I can't identify.

The cartridges are black plastic, have two blades and a white strip at the top. Which only helps a little since most of the others do too.

But unlike the others, it has two plastic prongs sticking out in the back. And it has gold-color metal strips on both sides at the front.

Like most of the others there is a vertical middle plastic bar at the middle, in the back.
On the left side of the bar there is the letter A, and then a number on the other side of the side.

My other razors are all Gillette, I would have assumed this is too but it doesn't have to be. I could have bought something different,at some point.

My Trac II, Atra and Sensor Excel razors do not pick up these blades.

Not that I'm very knowledgeable about cartridges, but pics work wonders with questions like these.
Oh, and welcome to B&B!

I haven't taken any pictures of them, and I don't know how to post them here either.

No doubt in many cases a picture would be key, however, in this case frankly it probably wouldn't add anything important, in my opinion.

All a picture would show is they look just like Atra plus cartridges from the front, except at the borders to the sides of the blades they have a decorative gold-color metal band on each side. These gold strips on both sides of the cartridge at the front area are a distinguishing feature unlike any of the other cartridges I own.

If any of you have seen a cartridge that looks like an Atra cartridge from the front except it has gold-color metal strips on the front, that is probably the one.

If you haven't, me showing a picture which shows the two gold-color strips I just described probably won't help any, IMO.

BTW thanks for the welcomes.

Thanks for clearing that up for me, before your explanation I actually thought seeing something might help me identify it, live and learn!

I have addressed my feelings about the utility of adding pictures, in this particular case, already.

Any of you feel free not to respond if the written description is not ringing a bell for you, or if you feel it's insufficient.

On the other hand, if you've seen a cartridge with gold bands on the front, well I'd still like to know what type cartridge it is.
