Hello Gentlemen,

Although I have never been a very active posting member on this forum, I have done a fair bit of reading here. I have learned a lot from you, but during the last months, I have sort of lost interest. This coupled with a job that forces me to travel a lot, I have decided to sell most of my shaving equipment.

All prices are in USD and includes worldwide shipping to the "major" countries. Shipping is fairly expensive here in Norway, so I have priced the brushes so that shipping will be split approx. 50/50. Payment via PayPal.

EDIT: It has come to my attention that asking for PayPal fees compensation is not allowed as pr. guidelines. I did not know this, and I apologize. For those of you that have already payed fees, I will gladly reimburse you. Please send me a message.

EDIT 2: Updated thread Title to reflect the remaining brushes.

The only trade I might consider would be for a Rooney 3/1 in 2-band Finest.

If my prices are completely off the chart, or if you have any comments, please shoot me a message.

Now onto the selection...

Holy... crap.

Just bought a CH1 2-band super and CH2 Best --- otherwise I'd be pulling the trigger on that CH1 pre vulfix and the Stubby 1

Oh, if that were a Stubby 2... I keep looking at it. Love the look of that brush.

AgBill: I'm not going to tempt you.... not at all :)

JPDyson: Actually, I'm going for a single brush setup. Weirdly, out of all the brushes I have, the one I like and use the most is the Rooney 3/1 Super. So I'll be trying to get a "Finest" and settle for that.

Of the five brushes sold so far. All are going to the States. I got the first PM just over 30 sec. after posting... No joke :)

Rooney size 1 Super

As for the Rooney Finest, make sure you are ready for stiff and prickly hair, otherwise it's not worth the effort to find one.

I know. Who would have though that I liked a $60 brush over a $200+ one :)

As for the Finest, is it really that stiff. I mean - the Super is what I would call firm, but is the finest that much than the Super?

I love my Rooney 1/1 Super, my first affair with a small brush and face lathering. It's not going anywhere, every time I pick it up I still love it. I tried a 2/1 Finest and found it prickly, scritchy or whatever you want to call it. Night and day difference between that and the Super. It was not for me, though others love it. If you like soft tips, I don't think Rooney Finest qualifies. It was amazing to me because when dry it felt cloud soft and it looked very innocent, but wet it turned into a wild scratchy cat. YMMV and all that, you may end up liking it more than the Super, who knows...

The 3/1 Finest I have started out prickly (more than I liked), but it seems to be getting softer every time I use it. It certainly has more backbone than any other Rooney I've tried.

If you want a firm brush with really soft hair, get one of the Stubby XL's. I have a Stubby 2 XL and it is the softest feeling brush I've ever had.....but it still has backbone. Pretty amazing. Anyway, it's not really my style, as I like some scritch, but other people love the soft luxurious feel.

Sorry for the off tpoic post.

Wow, if I had not just spent a bunch of money on a Rooney Finest I would be wanting to buy that Astor.

A lot of you guys seem to all have a Rooney Finest, but I've found them extremely difficult to find... Any secret information anyone would like to share? :)

Post a WTB. Can't buy them from retailers anymore, unless some are still hidden in some dark corner of their warehouses.
