Yikes! That color cast looks really nasty! It looks like a great lather, though! Very handsome piece of pottery, too.

Looks like a great scuttle. As long as you like it that's all that matters, enjoy it. :001_tongu :wink2:

Paul:
Awesome 'custom' Large Becker Scuttle and I really like the Lid & Brush Holder (no need for a 'stopper' , like my Medium Becker ' Cactus Sand' Scuttle). :yesnod:

Do you have a good link to his ebay store? I've been trying to find it, but failing epically.

The ebay store seems to be gone, but the man is still there:

I believe he closed his EBay store do to EBay fees. It looks like he is in the works starting his own website (http://robertsfeatsofclay.com/news.html), but it’s not active as of now.

Hope this helps,
Paul

Great looking scuttle, Paul. My Becker scuttle came in the same color (http://badgerandblade.com/vb/showthread.php/216577-Becker-Scuttle-Has-Arrived?highlight=Becker+scuttle). Thanks to Christopher's earlier post I contacted Robert Becker right away and ordered one. I love mine, too. Great scuttle at a great price.

I have a similar one and that brush dipping area is invaluable. Where does Mr. Becker operate now that he has shut down his ebay operation?

That's Becker's Blueberry Ice design. I had one that color and it really looks good in person.

Hello Bob,

You fill the reservoir where you soak the brush.

I hope this helps.

Paul

Those are the correct addresses, he is on vacation this week. Awesome guy to deal with, he did some custom work for me, very reasonable pricing.

I had that exact scuttle, color and all. I really enjoyed it but moved on to a bigger model from Julie at DirtyBird.

That is one big scuttle and very nice looking one to boot. I wish I could have something that would hold my fancy like that. Though I guess I still have to use my nice Dirty Bird scuttle anyways.

How do like the Dirty Bird compare to the Robert scuttle? If you don’t mind me asking how much did you pay for the Dirty Bird? I paid $28.00 for my Robert scuttle.

Does any who owns a large Becker scuttle feel it is too bulky or large? I use Mitchell's Wool Fat and face lather so the reason I want a scuttle is to keep the brush warm in between passes. Is the large scuttle too big for my intended use? I sometimes use other soaps so I will use the scuttle to lather in as well. I was considering purchasing this one.
