What the story on the Schick "Type A" razor?

Are they rare?

How about value?

Somewhat rare, I suppose, but they turn up from time to time if you're patient. Wouldn't really speculate in dollars how much they're worth in general, but probably a bit less than you'd think unless you find a minty cased one.

Mine shaves very well, but the loading mechanism is finicky and prone to jamming.

Being that I am not an injector guy I saw a strange looking razor recently.

Looked up the picture in ShaveWiki and I think it is a type A.

Unfortunately it is not cased.
