That's odd, Jim, a Wostenholm, you say? I have the same razor, black handle, same head of a king, same blade, etching, square point, but mine is from the Weyersberg bros.

A wood bowl of Lentheric. Possibly unused. It has a fairly spicy, cologney scent. Perhaps this is different from the Lavande that slcsteve had?

An unused bakelite bowl of Paislay's soap.
http://badgerandblade.com/gallery/displayimage.php?imageid=8006
An unused Yardey gift set consisting of Invisible Talc, a sealed bowl of shaving soap, and a ful bottle of aftershaving lotion (smells great!). The warrent listed in the soap is for the late King George, so I'm guessing this is from the mid to late fifties?

Nice score!
I say "use 'em and enjoy 'em" -- old wine eventually turns into vinegar... and not even the right kind for rinsing a shaving brush

Wehr = Defense, not War! War is bad! Honorable countries do not make war! Defense, of course is OK and expected, just fine!
Same reason in the 50's the US changed the name of the War Department to the Department of Defense....
But of course, your translation is semantically quite correct...:frown:

Yes, the German army's name was changed to "Bundeswehr" after WWII. Prior to WWII, in the days of the Weimar Republic, it was called the "Reichswehr". "Wehr" is defence, as in "Abwehr", FLAK, e.g. is Flieger Abwehrkanone or AA. Of course, the definition of "defence" took on a whole new meaning with the advent of national-socialism.

I would just go for 'Property of the Wehrmacht' if translating this into English. I think leaving the word 'Wehrmacht' as is would be an effective reference to the WWII German armed forces, that would no doubt be understood by many English-speaking people. It would help to maintain the overall quality of the translation.
