Our lovely cat! Just testing out my new ultra-compact: Ricoh Capilo R6. I use a Canon 350D for planned photography and at work, but I needed something smaller to carry around for spur of the moment shots. It has a 7x optical zoom which is very good for an camera this size. Only slight negative i'd say is it generates quite a bit of noise at fairly low ISO settings, but I can live with that.

Greetings Smudge! Aren't you a good looking British Blue?

Gareth I'm a cat man myself! I'll have to post pictures of LightyLiu (Birman) and Snowman (Ragdoll) sometime.

A fine beast indeed! The Caplio R6 is among the top compact cameras of the moment. I'm looking for a replacement for my Fuji F30 myself after my son broke the lens last weekend... I'm looking for a second hand F30 on eBay. The F30 is the best high & low ISO compact at the moment, I believe. Great battery life, excellent finish.

Gareth, I'm not trying to hijack your thread but I wanted to share these photos-

This is my Birman LightyLiu. She's a retired Champion, a Bluepoint, and a real dear. She is coming up on her seventh birthday but she still plays like a kitten

This is my Ragdoll Snowman. He's 4, 20 pounds, a somewhat rare Lilacpoint Bicolour, show quality male that loves everybody but especially the ladies! He doesn't care for cameras though as his eyes are photosensitive.

Thanks Gareth!

Is Smudge pedigree? Where did you get him/her? I love the copper and orange eyed Brits and actually thought about getting one a few years ago and may still do it one day. I have a picture at home of a striking jet black British Blue with piercing orange eyes! One of the most visually arresting cats I've ever come across.

She is a pedigree cat... not sure where she was from exactly, as my housemate adopted her from his sister about 5 years ago. I have her classification certificates somewhere. She is a lovely cat!

That's a nice looking trio of cats, gents. My two aren't pedigreed, but they seem to get along without it just fine.
