I love the JF soap. Found it last year when doing a search on ebay for shaving bowls. It provides a great lather and cushion for the razor, and leaves my face feeling very nice. Not as moist as Taylor's Avocado, but not as dry as most soaps. I don't use it often, but when I do, I always think I should put it in a weekly rotation.

*Jerry: Thanks for the superspeed, it was very smooth and gave one of the best shaves yet. Also, the superhazel is "medicated" containing aloe as well as camphor, peppermint, and 20% alcohol (so it burns a little when going on).

Yep, the water here in Alabaster (as Ron loves to needle me) is amazingly hard, and I haven't ponied up for an inline water softening unit yet. So far it seems to do a good job, preventing my 2234 from gunking up nearly as badly as my SMF I was before I started salting.

Probably the best lather I have ever gotten using the SMFII so far. I know it looks skimpy in the picture, but that's after two passes, and I rub the sides of the brush against the edge of the bowl to get the lather out from inside the brush and redistribute to the tip.

Not too bad... what I do is I wash it out really well with shampoo, let it dry, then I stick it behind my air purifier. The air purifier seems to take 90% of the rank smell out. No matter what you do though - with boar it takes awhile.

Nonetheless I have been most pleased with it. It works quite well and gets the job done just fine!

Salter is without question my favorite brand of shaving cream. I personally find it to be the most efficacious, moisturizing, easiest to use, and closest cutting shaving cream out there. If you are a rose fan - their wild rose is THE best rose scent, bar none (of course in my opinon). Their sandalwood is also fantastically interesting.

Just as an FYI - their limes is medeocre, and the almond is nice - but the three T's have a nicer almond scent.

I try everything, the Power Fusion works really good in my opinion. Down side is cost of the replacement blades. Yesterday I bought a pack of 8 blades for $25. What's that in the blue bottle you ask? Details later.
