Hello All, I piocked up a Vintage? Dubl Duck shaving brush #116 off ebay, for $6.49 shipped. I can't seem to find any info on these brushes. It looks to be in Great shape, but I am planning on putting a knot that I have coming from TGN in it. Does anyone know anything about these brushes? It actually looks almost like new, bristles are in great shape, as well as the blue handle, although a litle bit of the clear coating is bubbling. . I am wondering if I should just leave it alone? I hope I am in the right forumn. Any opinions on The Dubl Duck?? Thank You

Dubl Duck made some great straight razors. VERY popular now, as they're smooth shavers.
They also made brushes. Not sure about the quality, but for less then $7 you can't go wrong.

Most of the owners of the DD brushes also own a DD razor. They also sold strops, but I'm unsure if DD made them or they were rebranded. For six-and-a-half, you can't loose. I'd use this time to remove the old knot and after cleaning up the cavity where it fits, wait until the new knot arrives. if the cavity is much larger, you may have to order a larger knot for a better fit.

The easy way is to upload them to Photobucket and copy and paste the image code from the drop down menu to the post. I bet there's a tutorial in the Wiki somewhere.

DD didn't make anything they only retailed and wholesaled. The brush was made by one of the other outfits of the day. Just good basic quality brushes like eveready and similar.
