I've been looking all over and can't find it-- where's the phone-friendly version of this site? Just about every vBulletin forum I've been on has a lo-fi version that strips away most of the formatting, all the images and keeps it real simple, something that google usually links to. I'm pretty sure it's just a feature that needs to be turned on within the software, and then appropriate links added on the forum main page, in order to get it going.
I know I do a ton of web use on my phone, and with the iPhone coming, I'm sure there's going to be a lot more people that are getting data plans. Why not allow more access to the site?
You would be my shining star if you enabled it.
Just took it to the team will let you know:thumbup1:

+1. Although my Treo w/Sprint does an admirable job under the circumstances, a low-bandwidth option would be welcome when I travel.

The archive (http://badgerandblade.com/vb/archive/index.php) is pretty lofi, though you do have to switch to the normal version to reply I think.

What the?!?!? That's *exactly* what I was looking for. How'd you find that? I went looking for it all over!
And it's not really an archive-- that's the lo-fi version. I think I even clicked on a link in there that said "PDA" ... was I wrong? I don't see it now.
That is great, however. Now that that's out of the way, what is the possibility of having a lo-fi version with posting possibilities? As it stands now with my Treo 650, my phone doesn't seem to want to keep cookies from the site. Could there be a better implimentation or special phone-cookie?
Thanks for bringing it up Don. I truly appreciate it.
Wait: Something's wrong. When I access that version on my computer, everything is fine. But when I get to it on my phone, the server serves the lists in reversed; so the first listing in the Brush forum on my phone is "Simpson, Rooney, Shavemac Size Comparo " which is the absolute last post in the forum.
I've never seen this happen before. Anyone else getting this?

It's at the very bottom of every page... right under your nose I suppose

Honestly, fairly low, but I'll take a look and see if I can find something.

Make sure you click the PDA link. The Archive lists the threads oldest to newest. If you click the PDA link, it should list them in the normal chronological order.

Well, that doesn't seem to work (clicking PDA). Is there any way you can change the default so that posts are listed in descending order with newest posts first?
Mark, is your treo able to display the archive in descending order after hitting the "PDA" link?

So no replies?
I've tried it now on 4 other people's phones and all of them display in the reverse order, meaning if you want to look at the new threads you have to click on the last page of the forum, then scroll down all the way to the bottom before finding the link. This is the only vBulletin board I know of that does this, so there has to be a way to change it.
Nick, could you do so?
And anybody else, would you please try it on your phones and see if it's reverse order? The PDA link does no good if it only works on the computer.
