I love the Pinaud hair gel. The size of the tub makes it a true bargain product. I first tried it about a year ago after reading about it here. Prior to that, I was spending four times as much for a fifth the product. I don't see myself being without it again.

I just received the Pinaud Clubman Super Hold Styling Gel from WCS. $4 for a pound of hair gel - that's a pretty tough deal to beat! It has that great Pinaud/barbershop smell, subtle and not too overpowering.

And even though it's a 'super hold' gel it's not sticky or greasy. A little goes a long way - this 16oz. tub is gonna last me forever!

So how is it?

Pretty darn good. The lather was great and easy to build. The scent is unusual, but in a good way. It reminds me of something familiar that I just can't place. The bowl is cool, but the stickers they use to hold it shut leave a little residue. I need to find the Goo-be-gone.

And now for more fun. I'm super excited to have on the site three new lather bowls from a local potter. One of her specialties is a form of pottery where she takes multiple types of clays and wedges them into each other. It's not a mix, but a composite of all the different clays. It's very time and labor intensive. These bowls use 4-5 colors and you can see them all in the final product. Check out the description on the site for more information. Because each bowl is so different, you have the option on the site to select your actual bowl by photo. I've included photos of 6 bowls of each of the 3 types.

Nope, smooth. When the bowl is thrown, the outside surface becomes a solid color. To reveal the layers and colors she has to cut off this outside surface with a custom tool. Ridges would make it impossible. And the smooth glaze works just fine.

Davis, I had that issue late last year and clearing out the cache and temp files in my browser fixed it.
