Hello.

I have been wet shaving for the past... I dont know how long. However I find myself in a bit of a situation.

No more cream... I have just run through all of my C&E sweet almond. And the proraso tube is done. (I hate target)

So in my area, no creams are available. I do however have two cakes of soap.

Now. I use well water. So odds are its hard water, and I am SoL. However, that might not be the case. I am getting a garbage lather, and nicking myself half to death.

col conk bay rum. shower, wet soap, wet brush and swirl to load up the brush. then swirl it in a moist lather bowl.

any thoughts?

Sounds about right. I lather soap directly on my face though and skip the bowl.

I'd say let the brush soak while you're in the shower. Also, try changing up the water ratio as you lather, and yes, don't bother with the bowl ... lather on the puck and on the face: kind of back-and-forth. Keep at it, it will probably take a bit longer to properly lather up a soap than a cream ... that's not you, it's the product differences.
