Do any of you out there have a shaving related tattoo? I know some of us take our shaving very seriously. I'm guessing someone out there has King Camp Gillette's signature or face on them.
postscript: No I do not have a shaving related tattoo.
edit* I found some pics using the new B&B search tool but I'd still like to see any tattoos not previously posted.

I was at the Newport Tattoo Convention yesterday, and on one stall was a tattoo of a shaving brush with lather... No, didn't have it done, but did think of Badger&Blade.

I've thought of implementing something shaving related into a full sleeve I'm working on, but I haven't figured out what and how to include it and still make it look natural in the full piece.

A boar and badger battling it out to the death? That would look cool.

Could have made a cool tat, problem is that the sleeve I'm working on is Japanese/Oriental style, and for my other unfinished arm I'm keeping Norse/Viking style, could probably manage to include something like that there.

Only tattoo I have is my wedding ring. Maybe I will get a straight after I move to straight razor shaving.

That's not a tattoo, and not really shaving related, just wanted you people to see what happens when you cut yourself with things that are very dull.
And what happens is that the scar stays. Actually it has a meaning and was done by me on purpose. That's my hand.

Tattooing doesn't hurt. Wimp! (Just kidding)
There's a few sensitive spots on the human body where they feel 'slightly' unpleasant though, like the inside of the elbow, where the artery sits.
*&^#@#^*)&$ (*&^# I couldn't take more than 5 minutes of that at a time, I'll reluctantly admit that.
The other parts didn't touch me, but those two pointy things near the artery, OMG those almost took forever.

That part is a little tender.
The only time I have really hurt when being tattooed is during long sessions. After about 4 or 5 hours going over the same spots over and over you start to feel it.

Did a two hour session inside my armpit last year, it was the absolutely worst thing I have ever done.

A little? I've had myself beaten to a pulp with bamboo kendo "swords".
That was pleasant compared to that.

I salute you sir. You are both stupid (sorry I said that) and incredibly brave.

I am totally unable to find a picture as I forget the name, but there is an MMA fighter with straight razors on each elbow. They symbolize the guys ability to cut people open with his elbow striking? They were very interesting, but I CAN'T for the life of me remember who he was, or when I saw him, hence no pic.

You should start with a barber pole the entire length of you arm as a background. Hahaha jk.

I got my half sleeve and chest plate tebori style. 36 hours under the needle(s). What fun! And you know what, a little pain never hurt anyone.

I believe pain is essential to the experience.
The tattoo is applied to the skin in ink, and to the soul in pain.
I mean literally. The picture is imprinted on both body and soul.
Many people report personality changes after having a tattoo.
A well-chosen tattoo can change or augment the personality in a positive manner.
Mine certainly have.
Or maybe it's my imagination...whatever. :001_smile
