So, I have been shaving with a DE for 6 months now and thanks to B&B I am getting great shaves every day.
As a relative noob I would like to point out some things for the brand new noob.
1. YMMV
2. As you start shaving, the BIGGEST variable is your lather, not your razor not your blade not your prep, you lather. When you have a perfect lather, add more water.
2a. Don't try to get a BBS, a nice comfy shave is a great goal.
3. As you learn to make lather, do not give up on soaps or creams. They both have advantages. As a noob it seems easier to make lather with cream, for me soap gives me better cushion.
4. Until you get a decent shave try not to go crazy with the ADs.
5. As a noob don't throw anything away, once you know what you are doing it may work better.
6. Don't be afraid to try anything once.
7. Just because everyone here talks about something being the best XYZ does not mean it will do anything for you.
8. Cella is the best soap ever:tongue_sm:tongue_sm:tongue_sm
