I feel that Restrepo was a pretty important movie, and was a bit shocked to open my browser and see this:

Very horrible. I just found and watched Restrepo a few weeks ago. Anyone with Netflix Instant Watch should go watch it!

Terrible news. Restrepo is a great film.

RIP.

Heard the news on NPR yesterday.

Thought about the movie Restrepo I saw last year.

Good man and good director.

Concur...horrible tragedy. Restrepo was clearly a work of art. But, he died doing what he felt passionate about. How many of us can say that in our lives?

I had just been to a small screening of Restrepo a couple of weeks ago that he attended. It was stunning to hear this.

Such a loss for all of us. But at the very least it can can said that he passed doing what he loved best....a photographer, film maker and photojournalist...right where the 'action' was.

We shall truly miss him. :crying:
