Cars going 220mph and that darn fence seemed to drive the camera nuts.. and then the decreasing light at the end of the race made the camera go crazy in P mode trying to get shots of the yellow/checkered finish.

Full gallery (http://www.webmasterp.com/gallery/v/indy500s/2007Indy500/).. well, I came home with 600 shots on the camera, so that is really just a select few. Picture counter increased by about 800 from the first shot of the morning to the last, so I guess that means I deleted 200 shots of empty track as I went -- mostly from holding the button in continuous mode.

Here's another one of your favorite person, Mike! He's getting some help figuring out how to work that green flag. This was my 14th or 15th race -- there's something magnetic about that place that keeps me wanting to go back year after year.

The Derby is on my list of things to do one year as well.. lots of things on that list!

Nice pics, I've been to Indy twice and would love to go to the 500 sometime. As a Chiefs fan, I still have nightmares about Peyton, he always kills us.

I grew up in Speeday and recommend everybody go, at least, once. It's a horrible track to watch the race, as no one can see the entire track, but it is such an experience...the "Greatest Spectacle in Auto Racing". You have to see the 11 rows of cars on the final pace lap and then, see all 33 on the first couple of laps, at over 200 mph. The contrast is amazing...the noise, the smell....
