Just saying hi
I recieved my first 'cut-throat' razor a few weeks ago. I am really enjoying the experience working with it, though not without mishap since I'm a noob. Some experimentation on best technique especially on the off-hand side of my face, under the jawline.
I've viewed a few videos on various ways to get down there, some of which work, others not so well, at least not with my features. Seems like stretching the skin works best for so far, shaving ATG.
Spotted a beginner FAQ on this site, found I was being too ambitious with my selection of razor, a bit too fancy.
I really enjoy browsing the websites for what my wife calls 'shaving porn' :biggrin1:

Welcome to the B! Yeah we do like shaving porn here. Enticing! Think of shaving as beard reduction, and use a multi pass shave for less burn. That is what I do anyway, using a straight. They can be tricky!

Thanks for the greetings.
I knew going in that my first attempts wouldn't be without some 'accidents', I purchased a styptic pencil before I got the razor. The most frustrating so far was the stropping paddle I purchased along with the razor, now I understand it's more for travel, not the thing for regular use. Next delivery here is a proper strop.
A second blade with a rounded front edge, new brush and soap are tagging along

Heh, somre redness is expected, it's the redness that dribbles down the cheek that disconcerting.:biggrin1:
