The soap "rack" is awesome! Where did it come from, and did they have another one?

looks liek a magnetic knife or tool holder and he picked up some steel containers. people do that with spices in the kitchen too. i might have to try that idea...tho on hot days do the softer soaps pool toward one side of the container?

Great Den!
I love the soap rack, and the labels. They look great.
Although I'm sure it's not the intent, I find it funny that the two letter frames are AD.

Okay, I have to ask. What does the Framed "A" and "D" stand for? Is it a creative way to admit your Acquisition Disorders?
Great Den though!

Let's see, urns for used blades, I like that. Embracing your disorder in framed art, also good. Looks like you're on your way. :thumbup1:

I hadn't realized the letters could be taken as "AD"! great catch. They're actually mine and my better half's first initials.
The urns are some ceramic apothecary jars we found at a Tuesday Morning. The top one is empty and just decorative. But the bottom one holds our cotton balls.
The "rack" is actually from Ikea. It's the Grundtal system. Very inexpensive. The canisters are $5 for three and the magnetized rack is $7 I think. They have clear lids so I designed the labels to out inside to match the look of the apothecary jars.
Glad you guys enjoyed and thanks for all the compliments!

I don't know yet. I've only had them up there for about a week and it's not been hot enough to have an impact yet. You've raised a good point though. I'll be sure to keep a lookout for any issues.

Great den! And a brilliant idea on the soap rack, espescially since it's made of cheap mass production components. You made it look really neat! I do expect some problems with the Cella, though.

I like your style. Great tile work and wainscoting. And the gear - enough said about that already. Well done!

Not sure about B&B, but a lot of sites have filters, and will filter out the word "porn". That is way many evolved to "pron"- to bypass the filters.

The magnetized rack is as cool as frickin sharks with frickin lasers on their frickin heads. :punk:
I keep seeing all these great design ideas. One day I'll take a little from all of them and build an ultra shave den that no one will be able to look at without losing their vision for a week. Yeah, that awesome.

And it's thus become a bit of slang for porn, even when "porn" isn't filtered. Though, really "pron" is a pretty common typo for "porn", so it could've evolved in the same way that "pwned" came from "owned".

Love it. Wish I had a larger bathroom so I could do something similar.
Actually, our bathroom is TINY. It's only about 28 square feet not counting the shower stall. This was the primary reason for my doing this. I couldn't keep all my stuff out on the limited surface area we have. When I redesigned the bathroom in February 2010, we purposefully got a new sink/vanity that had surface space for us to keep stuff we use all the time on. Then we got a cabinet from Target (the wooden one on the left) but ended up not using the top half as it blocked the light and fan switches. So storage space was still an issue.
Once the AD's kicked in, I was running out of room fast. I saw someone else who had recommended the Grundtal containers and put labels that he made inside them. Originally, I just had them on top of the wooden cabinet, but after talking to my Better Half, I decided to go ahead and get the magnetic holder. It will hold 5 comfortably. We're both really pleased with how it turned out.
And a HUGE thank you to all the compliments guys!

The problem is I live on Vancouver island so I would have to suffer through 4 hours on the ferry plus $200+\- and 2 hrs of driving to get there and back... And ikea won't ship that item in store sales only... I like it but not that much.. Lol and who knows whatelse swmbo would want from there hahahaha

Yep. That typo took on a life of its own.
