I has been posted a number of times although not all that recently. Just curious to hear what super lathers everyone has come up with?

I've only tried one, Cade shave soap and shave cream. The cream is mediocre on its own but with the great cade soap....

Mitchell's Wool Fat soap with any scented cream is a great combination. I have had great success with Old Spice, TOBS and Penhaligon's.

+1 I love AOS combos. Also on days when I'm lazy or it's warm outside I'll use VDH glycerin and Proraso. :thumbup1:

This is the combination that immediately came to mind when I saw this thread. I like mixing MWF with a number of scented creams.

Williams provides a nice inexpensive base for the Godrej Lime but I like it even better with Kiss My Face mint.

try ya some Williams mug soap, with plenty of Proraso green tube.......

My pairings are literal:

Tabac Cream/Soap
Palmolive Cream/Soap
Irisch Moos Cream/Soap

Old school Colgate Tallow and TOBS Rose

Is the Colgate scent mild enough so it doesn't conflict with the Rose?

I guess the Palmolive cream isn't too scented, although it is a little olds school soapy/clean.

Mitchell's Wool Fat soap with any scented cream is a great combination. I have had great success with Old Spice, TOBS and Penhaligon's.

Maybe this is a sign as I have both Pens BB and MWF but have yet to try either...I was hoping to try them on their own before dabbling with a super lather:lol:

AOS Sandalwood soap and cream :w00t: But only on weekends

I just got the soap and creating this super lather is on my list:thumbup:

I like the idea of pairing products soaps and creams.

I am also looking to pair QED Lime and Trumpers coconut...

Anyone else mix flavors?

Too many soaps and creams...but only one face!:tongue_sm

Col. Conk's Lime soap w/Kiss My Face Key Lime cream.
(Nice & Limey with copius amounts of lather!)

C.O. Bigelow/Proraso cream w/Dr. Bronner's Peppermint/Spearmint shave gel.
(The eucalyptus and menthol of Bigs/Proraso w/ the Bronner's makes tons of super cooling lather for those hot summer days!)

American Crew Herbal shave cream/ w/Maca Root shave cream by TBS
(While the American Crew isn't supposed to lather, mixed w/the Maca root it explodes in the bowl and together the scent is amazing!)

Van Der Hagen Deluxe/ w/Williams Mug Soap (Put both through a cheese grater, and mold into a mug.Two cheap soaps combine, to make mounds of slick, rich, dense lather that will give some of the most expensive soaps a run for their money!)

Bought some cheap Real Shaving Co cream a while back. Have mixed it with almost all my soaps and had great success. The mild scent works with other scents and the cream lathers up really easily.

Tabac and Real works wonders. :thumbup1:

IMO any soap and cream combo works.

Currently receiving outstanding results with shave secret pre oil, Avalon Peppermint shave cream and MWF (watched manitac's video to improve lather results).

I've been using up some Caswell Massey sandalwood lather cream that doesn't lather on its own. Oddly, on any soap (VDH, MWF, grated and mushed up nontallow Erasmic stick) I've tried it is very nice-a very slick, lasting, aromatic, cushioning lather. It is such a shame the CM can't do it alone!

Like I said...there seem to be too many combos to contemplate!

Out of curiosity which unscented cream do most of you use to combine with a scented soap? AoS, T&E, KMF? Others?

I use palmolive stick - rubbed directly onto bristles - then put a dab of ingrams cream on each cheek & neck ...now lather, using a brush,to a rich, thick consistency, and enjoy the shave.
No cup/bowl needed ...a fast and efficient way to shave!

Proraso soap & Proraso cream work great together. I finish with Proraso Pre/Post, an Italian Trifecta that's hard to beat.

...although a nice scuttle to warm up that lather might be a step in the right direction. :001_cool:
