I've used this quite a bit to prime my brush when shaving with KMF patchouli. It has a nice faint cinnamon kind of smell that mixes well. It would probably work nicely with citrusy creams as well. Give it a try!

Matt,
I don't believe I've ever heard of this one. What do you mean by you use it to prime your brush?
Do you prep as usual and then use the Neutrogena as you would shaving soap and then use shaving soap or creme on top of the Neutrogena?
What is the purpose and the outcome of this routine?
Just curious.
And as always...
Enjoy your shave...

I lather up my damp brush a bit with the neutrogena before I use it to mix up the shaving cream. Depending on the ratio of soap, cream, and water you can get different consistincies of lather. It also tends to lend a bit of the neutrogena aroma, which I find pleasant. Give it a whirl, neutrogena is fairly cheap.
This is comonly called super lather or Uber lather you can find many posts with a search on those terms. I would recomend a good shave soap to do this with rather than a bath bar.:badger:

I think neutrogena is glycerin based. It's a gentle face soap, super cheap, and locally available- all big pluses in my book. I'm dying to try mama bear's though. Eveyone seems wrather smitten with her soaps. And my birthday is coming up, I could treat myself a little... (rushes off to post in soaps section.)

Yep it's a glycerin soap. It's a facial bar NOT a lousy bath bar. No it's not a shaving soap but it lathers like nobody's business! I frequently use it to make super lather with Truefitt & Hill's Lavender. Awesome! Really slick lather. Think I'll put that in the rotation tomorrow!
