I currently use a Edwin Jagger 89L, and I'm fairly happy with it. Though, once in a while, it will slip right out of my hands into/onto the sink. Was thinking about ordering a EJ Georgian style. Looks like it might be much more balanced in hand. Any thoughts? Do you think this will improve my shaving experience?

I have an EJ DE with the Georgian handle and I really don’t much care for it.

I find the weight to be OK, but the balance and length is way off – at least for me.

In fact, it’s actually quite a bit longer than you might think. Take a look at it as compared to a Gillette long-comb ‘New’ and a ‘Fatboy’

I like these Georgian handles on my shaving brushes, but they don’t work for me on the razor.

I ended up ordering a new fluted handle with the correct metric threads from Bob at Bob’s Razor Works.

Interesting...not what I would have expected. Anyone else have experience with this one?

I have the chatsworth barleycorn, the pattern on the handle gives great grip, and the balance and head to handle weight ratio is superb

i own a Muhle R89, EJ 87 Ivory and a Georgian. bought them in that order too.

i love them all and find the Georgian, which i've been using lately to have GREAT balance. i get just as good or better shave with it then the EJ 87.

i love it. looks fantastic, shaves great and is just nice to have something different in the rotation.

i'd say try one, you might be surprised (either way, good or bad mind you), but if you don't end up liking it, you can always trade or sell it on here.

i'm very happy with mine and wouldn't think of getting rid of it. the handle is a bit longer, but it has nice heft and feel to it. it's quite easy to balance it in my hand, but it is a different feel the the regular 89 or 87 EJ's.
