Blades for Scales?

I asked a question about top of the line 5/8ths Stainless Steel St8's and someone suggested re-scaling a Dovo Stainless and it made me wonder, there are a lot of places where you can buy Scales but is there a place where I can buy Stainless or Carbon blades where all they need to be is honed and sharpened then you can attach your own Scales?
