Happy to announce we know are an official stockist of Kent (http://www.westcoastshaving.com/Kent_bymfg_96-3-1.html). I just added a number of handmade combs last night. Let me know which shaving brushes (or anything else) you want and I'll bring them in.

You may notice a few other new items today if you look at our new products (http://www.westcoastshaving.com/New-Products_c_103.html) section.

Nice, John.

I've always wanted to give their shave cream a try.
Do you know if it a re-packaged item like their soap, which is MWF with a Kent label, or is it a Creighton-made item especially for them, or something else altogether?

The small black and white handled size 4 brushes seem like they'd sell pretty well. I always thought the clear acrylic handle they have was cool looking. The presentation case they come in are pretty sharp too!

Are you planning on stocking any of Kent's other items, such as hair and shower brushes?

Let me get an answer for you on the cream. I don't know.

I've got a number of brushes on my list to order and the BK series is one of them. I can add some of the acrylic ones as well.

I can stock anything they sell. I've been wanting to add hair and shower brushes and will most likely soon. Send me a PM if you've got some requests.

Kent is a stand up company, and so is WCS. A perfect pairing!

We have their hair brush for our baby.
It's very nice. She loves it.

I'm a Kent fan as well.
I've got to check this out.

Shaving or hair? Either way, yes.

John, I'm interested in the BLK4 shaving brush for sure. I need to place another WCS order!

Hi John,

I'm putting together an order now and was considering the Simpson Commodore X2 Best badger and maybe a Wee Scott. What does Kent have that is similar in style and price? Also, how soon before they are in stock? I'd like to get my order in sooner rather than later.

Thanx,

Wow, I'm really enjoying the Kent comb! It does make a different than the plastic molded ones.

Ditto.

I wonder if it would be worth you trying to get some of the "seconds" of brushes (military in particular) that they sell online for $15 or so plus shipping. These brushes typically have slight imperfections in the wood (blemishes) or finish that don't impact performance. I know that lots of guys order these from the Kent e-bay store and having a US vendor would make shipping cheaper and avoid customs issues.

Just a thought - as these are very good values.

The Wee Scot is a brush of it's own. Only Omega has something similar. The Commodore will have a shorter loft and feel denser than the Kent of the same size.

Glad you like it. If I used a comb, Kent would be my choice.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll see what I can do.

Our latest Kent order shipped this week and I should have all the new products up by early next week.

Now that I'm sold on the Kent combs I'm curious about the military brushes. Are they for specific types of hair or comb styles? Anyone?

I ordered 2 from their ebay store on the 14th of this month...still waiting.

My hair is thick enough that I have to use a brush; a comb just won't get the job done unless my hair is completely wet. There's a thread in the haberdashery area about the different hair types people use them on.

To be honest, given the long lead time and high shipping cost, if some outfitter in the U.S. stocked them I bet they would sell. Even with the mark up for international shipping they're quite a bit less than a retail "unblemished" model.

I'll and my $0.02 on their usefullness when I get mine in the mail.

WCS has the Acca Kappa military brushes so I'll probably give those a whirl. I have thick hair but nothing Pashana can't tame.
