Good? Bad? Waste of $ or worth a shot? Just curious. I was in my local B, B&B today and I noticed that they had it on the shelf. Soooo...anyone here try Burt's Bees Cream, or would I be the first board member to take the plunge?

It smells amazing. I didn't like shaving with it. Some of the gents on the forum like it. I don't. Plus I think it feels a little greasy. Give me my brush and some Cella any day.

YMMV.

I've used it a few times, had some good shaves with it. I like the fact that they use natural products.

I don't believe Topgumby has even spoken of a product like he has Burt's Bees.

it is what it is... smells great, works fine, doesn't lather (isn't suppose to) so you don't need to haul a brush. A great travel setup a tube of Burt's Shave and Burt's ASB and a couple of M3 disposables.

I'm just about through my first tube of it and I will be picking up a second assuming Target still has it. The other guys are right that does leave a little greasy feeling behind, but after using it I don't need after shave. Plus you can a little quicker/careless with your shave because it does have so much lubricant in it. And the best part for me is that it smells like Earl Grey tea which I love.

It is a little different to get used to since it really needs to called a shave lotion.

BB is one of the best drugstore shaving creams. Its inexpensive, easy to find, smells great. Its great for a travel kit, or for use in warm weather.

The main complaint you'll hear is that it does not lather. Its not supposed to, but that doesn't prevent it from giving a great shave every time. Although its advertised as brushless, you can use it with a brush if you want to.

If you're going to try the shaving cream, I'd recommend you go the whole route and use the BB bar soap and ASB also. They are reasonably priced and usually available wherever you find the cream. BB also makes other products in the line, like cologne, shampoo, stick deodorant, but these are a little more expensive and less commonly available than the shaving cream and ASB.

It was awful. i couldn't get it to lather.

I ended up just using it as a pre-shave cream. Wouldn't buy it for that either.

does anyone actually read the directions on BB? it's a shave cream and is not suppose to lather. if you want lather you shouldn't buy a brush-less shave cream. the full line of BB products can be found at most larger groceries around here, Target, etc.. and all the granola type grocers. Even Borders Books has a complete display.

after a shower earlier this morning. I skipped the shave expecting to use the Feather AS tomorrow. I got a call about meeting up for lunch. So, I whipped out the Burt's and a M3 I was done in 5 minutes with at least a DFS and on my way.

no, they generally don't.

general advice.. If you find some "shaving cream" in a tube at some drug store.. consult Badger and Blade reviews before buying it.. you probably didn't find a "hidden gem", and there's probably a reason no one talks about it.. if there's a good product out there, it's been discussed.
