As many of you are aware, several of us are raising funds for our beloved B&B HERE (http://badgerandblade.com/vb/showthread.php?t=196616). Turnout has been fantastic and we all :thumbup:appreciate:thumbup: the great generosity of our new and not so new members.
But for those of you who are riding the fence and waiting to take the "contributor" plunge, let me entice you.....
I'll randomly draw from the lot of new and confirmed Gold Level ($100) contributors at 10:00 CST, Friday 3/25. The winner gets this incredible, very German, and ultra cool razor. For those Golds who've already contributed - you're already ahead. For those fence-sitters out there - get up and contribute!! And by the way, whether you win or not, you're still eligible for prizes already advertised!
No matter what you can contribute, we all win through the generosity of our members. Thanks B&B!! :thumbup1:

The extra incentive for Gold members is just... ridiculous now. If I get busted robbing a bank to become a Gold contributor, it's all your guys' fault.
Will that hold up in court?
Probably only if the judge is a B&B member, I'd think.

It will in my book. If nothing else I will come see you in the pen.

Before one donates - is it possible to review some financial information regarding the site? Donation amounts, revenue sources, costs of running, contributions from sellers etc??

No.
It's a reasonable question. While the founders may choose to keep the finances of the site private, your response certainly isn't becoming of a gentleman.

No.
That says it all.
I agree it is unreasonable to see day to day finances etc of this company.
If you don't want to donate, don't. But you SHOULD!
TexBilly is doing an admirable thing. A PILS!
I have a stainless PILS myself and it is a fantastic razor.
I donate at the gold level because it is worth it to me for the information, camaraderie of the forum, and friends I have met while here on the site.
Less than 28 cents a day. What A deal.

This comes dangerously close to violating one or more of the basic fund raising rules stated at the beginning of the fun razor (oops) fund raiser.
This is the most important rule – NO WHINING, COMPLAINING, CRYING, TANTRUMS, SNARKINESS OR GENERAL DISPLAYS OF BAD ATTITUDE...Violators will be disqualified at the discretion of the committee members, without refund of any contribution made..

No.
I am sorry that the response is so curt. There was no whining or otherwise unsupported behaviour intended. Just an interest. Good luck in making money.
Thank you

My reply was prompt, clear, concise, accurate, free of malice and snarkiness. RocketMan asked a reasonable question and was given the truth in return.
The best way to say "No" is to say "No". No ambiguity, no BS. Quit whining.

I did not presume anything other than an honest inquiry on your part. That's why you got an honest answer.
Did you expect something else?

Calm down everybody and lets be courteous, chivalrous gentlemen about this... Let's not insult anyone's honor or get the dueling pistols out. This is all about raising funds for the good old B&B.
Let's try not ruin anyone's true a sense of purpose here... The fundraisers give the B&B a real sense of community when members and mods alike can donate big bucks for server space and whatever else the money goes towards. Let's not crash anyone's party and be good sports about the message boards as some people have real friendships here (funny eh) and will fight you to the death if you speak ungentlemanly. Let's all be civil!

Ohhhh, I misread the original post. It says new and confirmed golds. I thought it meant new golds and confirmed golds. I contributed gold after the Wait A Minute, It's Not 11:00 O'Clock Contest was posted, but before the Pils Giveaway. I guess I'm not eligible for the Pils, just for the big contest. Good luck to all new golds for the Pils!

Noooo!!
You ARE eligible. New Golds since the overall fundraiser began! :biggrin1:
