Fellow DC area B&B members,

The National Cherry Blossom Festival is starting this weekend. Although the weather forecast for this weekend doesn't look promising, the festival goes until April 10th. I don't know if any of you are planing to attend any of the events but if the weather is nice I will be downtown at least once during the festival. If there are any other members that are interested, perhaps we could plan some sort of meet-up.

P.S. This is not limited to DC area residents. If you are traveling on business, visiting family or just need to get away feel free to check out the cherry blossoms and possibly meet some B&Ber's.

i work in Roslyn and today noticed a bunch of the trees in their "puffy white" stage. apparently "this stage usually occurs four to six days before peak bloom, the period when 70 percent of the blossoms are open. some where already pink..

as a far as get together, this might be a bit crowded if you are talking sights.

I live in Rockville and I have been downtown for the festival every year for like the last 10th years. I just figured I would gauge other members interest since I will be down there anyhow. I think you may be right about how crowded it will be but we'll see.
