From russian with love blade PIF!

Hello Guys,

I actually haven't done a PIF here so let's celebrate together and start a PIF. This PIF consist on the following:

What it is:

This PIF has The From Russia With Love Sampler Pack + Plus some extra russian blades. Из России с любовью

Voskhod, Ladas, Rapiras (Swedish and Platinum Lux), Gillette Silver Blue, Gillette Rubie and Sputniks (Teflon and Super Plat.)

I am going to put 50 of each, so this should be moved from people to people. Cost: Free, just pay for shipping charges after I send to First Person and so on.

25 People Maximum so each gets at least 2 blades per model.

First Come first served once a list is created out of the 25 people.

Rules:

30 Minimum Post Required!
Must send to next person, till the blades are finished
CONUS at this time only!

All you need to do to enter PIF is reply with those rules: 777 DA' LOVE

This would be a task from person to person. I will send the package to person #1, i'll get his address hopefully today. Once he receives, he will contact #2, and so on.

You are the last one and number #24 will have to contact you once he has the envelope.

I was just told by Doodi1 that 3.Mo5-O is in Canada. Unfortunately, this was a CONUS only and I might have added him up by mistake. Since this is going to be a confusion, I will put him at the end of the list. It would be up to "The Pontificator" to send him the sampler. This way, the blades stay in the US till the end.

I apologize for my mistake and hope this clears a bit confusion. Doodi1 must contact Ridgerunner and then on..

I found a new favorite blade - Sputnik Super Platinum.

The problem I have with every blade I have tried so far is that the first shave is usually a little too close (blade too sharp maybe?) and causes minor irritation. Second shave is usually perfect and third shave is usually acceptable to rough.

The first shave with Sputnik was smooth as was the second and also the third. I won't push it though and tossed the blade after shave three. These are great blades and the only blade I have tried that gave me three excellent shaves in a row. :thumbup1:

Thanks again for the blades, David! Guess I am slow in responding to results. Glad to have tried them all, but the only one that shows promise for me is the Rubie. That is a nice blade in closeness and smoothness, and does provide a degree of tingle that means (I guess) that it is a sharp one. Currently the 7 O'Clock Super Platinum (Russian blue), the Rubie and the Perma-Sharp Super are contenders as an SI replacement.

So, to change the subject, which blades are people liking best so far?
Are there any really "bad" or dull blades in the pack?
The Vockshod (sp?) I do like, but have not got any further. I am also curious about the Gillette blades.

Sorry for sitting on these so long. They arrived the day after I went on vacation (July 31) and I just got them monday. I plan to ship the last blades out to Mo5-O tomorrow or Tuesday, work schedule permitting. I am waiting for a mailing address from Mo5-O as I write this.

Beautiful PIF, thanks. I got 2 sets of blades so I have a buddy who is double edging it. He doesn't have too much cash for I am giving him the extra set of blades.

I will try one of the blades on Monday.
