When I first started smoking cigars, I acquired many of them. I no longer enjoy the taste after moving on to pipes and was wondering if there are any sites out there where non vendors can sell their cigars. Thanks!

Darn, I think B&B prohibits "questionable items" such as tobacco from being sold on the B/S/T. Too bad.

They do, unfortunately. I wonder if they allow cigar PIFs?

If you are looking to sell off your stuff your best bet is to join a forum but they will look down on your sale if it is one of your first few posts. I am a member on 3 forums and I see it happen all the time and I don't want you to get reemed by the others. If I was you, I would join cigarasylum, they have a B/S/T and everyone there is always looking for something to smoke.

I'm a member of Puff.com, but they require 100 posts to access the BST which I really don't have much to say there, so it would take awhile to get up to 100 posts. I PM'd the mod of this forum to ask about PIFs. If he says yes, I may just have to PIF them on here. ;)

Ill take them off your hands :w00t:!!!!

If you can hold out for 100 posts on puff you should be able to sell them their pretty easily.

Just about every site will have some sort of waiting period on posting sales; at CigarPass it's three months, active membership, and no record of asshattery. We're kind of strict that way, but it's rare anyone gets stiffed on CP. :thumbup1:

I will venture to say that on most boards, being that they are generally populated with experienced smokers, nothing you've listed so far is going to generate much excitement.

Unless you need to recoup some of your investment for financial reasons, I'd recommend finding someone doing "cigars for the troops" mailings and donate the whole load. You'll make a bunch of folks' day.

I'll probably do some of that, too. I did spend lots of money on them (got myself into debt then out of it), but I would like to make peoples' day. The only thing I have to pay off now is some shaving supplies I bought. I know of one person for sure who is in charge of the Cigars for Troops on the board I'm a member of. I'll also PIF some here once I get the approval of the administrators.

What a nice offer! Plus thinking of the troops is a wonderful gesture.

I agree, it is always Christmas when a box of cigars come in. Very nice gesture, to bad you can't sell them here.

Check out Cigar Asylum

Don't know about sales there; I haven't spent a lot of time on it. But they are a great bunch of guys. They send a lot of cigars to our (U.S.) troops overseas. An Army Chaplain who was asking for shaving gear for his guys at an FOB told me about them when I asked for his APO to send him a package; the response from the guys here was so incredible, he said he was super stocked up. I asked him if he smoked cigars; he said yes, he kept a coolerdor in the chapel for the troops, and I found that his taste was pretty close to mine, so I (and a friend at my local cigar shop) send him a couple of boxes of various smokes from our stash. He said, "You'd be amazed at how a soldier would open up to you when you were sitting smoking cigars"

You might want to consider a small act of charity:001_smile

There is also www.smokersforums.co.uk.

I do think it would be a nice gesture to send a bunch to the troops however. They make everything we do here possible. A couple of years ago, I sent a box of cigars, some pipes and some pipe tobacco to a soldier over at SF, didnt expect anything in return, just a way for me to say thanks. He sent me a USA flag and a certificate certifying that the flag had been flown over Saddams palace. It is one of my most prized possesions.

These guys are the greatest group. It's the B&B of cigars. So many friendly knowledgeable folks. They have PIF's, contests, and you can sell or trade. It's also a great vendor to buy from. There are even a couple guys who are members here too other than me.
