Does anyone know of a easily carried pipe journal? I'm trying to experiment with different tobaccos and want to keep my thoughts in one place. I've seen one, but it's made to sit on a shelf and look nice, I want something I can put in the man bag and take with me.

Just get a notebook man. I've got one in storage, with date, price paid and RRP of all my briars, plus a note on all the tobaccos I've smoked and how I liked them at the time. It's nice to look back and see how your tastes changed over time. A few years ago I found McConnell's Scottish Cake about as full as I needed, but the last time I smoked it I was definitely wanting more "Vitamin N".

Just pick up one of the moleskin journals that can be found at any bookstore. I use one for my pipe tobacco and cigars. You can get them lined or just plain paper. Also they come in different sizes, they're all black too so they don't look too cheap either.
Come to think of it I haven't smoked my pipe all day...... here comes the smoke!

Target stores in US have black leather notebooks (they look like little bibles) in various sizes for under $10. I carry a $5, 3x5" gridded version in my pocket for quick notes. They had a larger version, maybe 5x7" or 6x8" for about $10.

Man bag? Sounds like someone needs to reaquaint themselves with the Art of Manliness. :001_tongu If you have a smart phone, check to see if someone has an app for it. Wouldn't suprise me if they did.
