Here's another one I finished up tonight. (This brush restoration stuff is habit-forming!) A black and marbled butterscotch Fuller, set with a TGN 24mm Finest badger fan-shaped knot. This one didn't take much work other than grinding out the old knot and polishing it up.

I have that exact handle, and was wondering what that knot would look like in it. Did you fill the entire cavity with epoxy? Which did you use?

I just used Devcon clear 5-minute epoxy...there wasn't that much extra space in the cavity, so I just ground it out to the depth I wanted and glued the knot in. The 24mm TGN knot fit very nicely without any extra excavation necessary.

looks wonderful. i'm not sure my brush will take a 24 mm knot...i'll go check it now.

it's a *froghair* under 24mm...glad to hear it's a bigger opening. i might take a mm off all around and put a 26 in there.

That's very nice work Larry.

That knot looks like it was made for that handle. What a perfect match. :thumbup1:

Thanks, George. I'm really digging those TGN fan-shaped finest knots. Not only do they look great, but they're heavenly on the face. :001_tt1:
