Hard to please Swmbo...

Ok so i've been testing different fragrances and i always ask what she'll think will smell good. So far Prorso white, old man smell and i concur. VDH she cant really smell, Col Conk almond she is OK with the smell and cant believe i like the smell THAT much. Omega cream she is OK with, but iam not a big fan of menthols. Macca Root, Says it smells clean and nice but not too great. She likes oggala bay rum in small doses but i HATE the smell, i've started getting nice lathers off of it now tho. Bodyshop grey, again ok with the smell and cant believe i like it that much.
So today i tried something that i would of thought would be full proof, i had a sample of Trumpers Rose and their Rose Skin food, I lathered it up! and went awesome smelled great to me and threw on the skin food afterwards. Went up to her to see how she likes it and i got "UMMMMMMM OOOOOOOOHHHHH You smell like Mr. Clean..." She thinks it smells like FLOOR CLEANER!!!! Instead she got me a splash of old spice classic and really likes the smell. Iam not a big fan and the matching cream kinda sucks tbh.
I've got some cella on the way, gonna go through the rest of the sample pack from trumpers and see what she likes.
I think the problem is i like all the sweet and nutty scents and she likes the musky and spicy scents.

They only things SWMBO will accept are sandlewood and bayrum (and the smell of Nivia balm).

My wife has a nose that can smell anything. She thinks both MWF and Cella soaps are OK and likes the smell of Gillette Lemon and AK 1869.

Try Spieck cream, soap, or after shave. SWMBO usually ignores most of the stuff I use, but she always makes a positive comment about Spieck.

You're preaching to the choir here brother, lol. I'm searching for a new "signature" cologne, and my wife too is sick of smelling my arms, wrists, neck...you get the picture.

We have found a few that she likes, Nicolai Pour Homme, Creed Himalaya and Ricci Club. Good luck my friend, I feel your pain :thumbup1:

EDIT: I just re-read the OP, and it seems you're looking for a soap with a suitable fragrance to SWMBO...sorry. How about Nancy Boy Signature, it smells like candy canes and dissapates rather quickly afterwards.

Me either. I do think that aftershave lingers on me much longer than most other men. I am lucky as my wife pretty much likes any scent.

My wife really likes the C&E Nomad. I have the shaving soap and cologne spray.

Drag her to a department store that has testers of fragrances and have her pick out ones that she likes.
Make a note of what they are.
Find what scents make up the fragrances she likes.
Look for trends. Basenotes.net can be a good resource here.

Look for shaving products that have the same notes.
Eventually you'll hit one.

SWMBO doesn't like any of my Boss colognes or Azzaro.
But she loves the Clubman!

the only scent she likes so far is CK Be problem is i am not a big fan of it, also i havent seen any soaps or creams with the same scent. Plus is discontinued :( i do however have 4 big bottles of teh stuff saved up

Once you find something you both like, ask Mama Bear. If she doesn't have it, she might figure something out for you.

The only soap I have used that the wife actually likes is MWF. Pretty much everything else "smells like an old man." Usually I just rinse real good and put on an unscented ASB that covers any remaining scent pretty well.
