Just in case you missed it in the other thread. Lee Valley is selling badger knots, I bought a couple. http://www.leevalley.com/en/wood/page.aspx?p=67156&cat=51&ap=1 They are pretty much as pictured, I think mine were 19mm x 63mm pretty stiff, but a source for Canadians.

Im gonna order a few I think. Iv never made a brush before. These seem like an beginning for me

I guess I should up date this. I have bought several from Lee Valley and found that they were not consistent in quality. I haven't bought enough from Larry at Whipped Dog to make a full report but the Black Badger I got from him at the same price was much nicer. What I like about Larry is I was buying silver tip from him and he suggested I try the black badger. Maybe I just got lucky but that black badger is my go to brush, The silver tips brushes are just sitting on the shelf looking pretty. I found I like the feel of the stiffer black badger.

I just used Larry's silvertip for the first time this morning. I'll be getting more. Just awesome.
