Something I have never really bothered with - mainly because I had no idea which might be good & which might be awful - are house brand cigars. Lately though I have been paying closer attention & noticed that some of them might actually be pretty good. Some of CI's house-labeled cigars are from Drew Estate for example.
So, with that in mind, what would be some of your favorites, if any? Bargain smokes for yard work or just relaxing when may not want to fire up a more expensive stick? :confused1
What are the Palmolive and Arkos of the cigar world? :001_smile

These aren't house branded, but Rocky Patels Indian Tobac Boxers are some of the best kept secrets in an affordable smoke. Great lawn mowin' dog walkin' smokes. My humidor always has at least a few.

The CI house brand is rolled by Drew, but I'm pretty sure it's not a Drew blend. CI most likely speced out the blend. For a good, inexpensive quality cigar look for the Perdomo Fresco; good, fairly light to medium, around 3.50 for about a corona size I think (in my local shop).

Nice option! I had an Indian Tabac or two a few years ago & remember it being a pretty good smoke. I found these pretty quickly after reading your reply; a box of 25 @ $54 :thumbup1:

That's actually a little high, I think I got the last box I ordered for around $40, Tampa Humidor has the Indian Tobac super fuerte starting at $49 and toping out at $59.

Just to expand this discussion a bit, how about factory 2nds? Another realm of cigar purchasing that I have not delved into, but have been tempted when I see RP Vintage 2nd bundles pop up now and then?

If you can't already, check out cigarbid.com it's a offshoot of Cigars International, and you can regularly pick up 5 packs of stuff for less than $10 Just make sure you have your shipping options set to only ship once a week, or otherwise if you win multiple auctions but on different days your paying $5 to ship out each day. This is a pretty good way to try out new stuff, but I have to warn you once you go Cbid you'll never be the same, it's addictive.

Uh, thanks, I think. I already have bids in on four lots now:laugh: To be fair, they were before your post, but THANK YOU for the shipping tip, mine was set to ship daily rather than weekly. :thumbup1:
I can see where it could be addictive, there appear to be some deals to be has there for sure!
