Well I took my fathers old brush and actually restored it with a TGN Finest knot.

It was a lot easier to do then I though it would be. I had a little chip at the lip that you can't even see now that the knot is in.

All in all I'm pretty happy with it. I'll have my first shave with it tomorrow :w00t:

Excellent job :thumbup1:

You'll get a great satisfaction using this brush since you restored it yourself especially because of the family connection :w00t:

Make sure you post it in the Butterscotch Candy shop !!!

I can easily call that a Douglas restoration:biggrin1:. Anyway did you sand it or just used scratch remover?

No scratch remover or sanding... just some green spray and a washcloth :001_smile

Save was great :w00t: Went with Cella.

This is the first time I've used a finest and I must say it a far cry better the the lower end badgers. I'm also not sure what to do with my boars, they will get much less love from me now.

I know you'll get even more enjoyment from the brush because it belonged to your dad...nice job.

Nice work. My first restore (also my father's brush) was with a TGN Finest. Nice knot.

Well done. I really like the bulb shape for knots as opposed to the fan.
