I am going to be traveling to the Washington DC area and was wondering what I can expect for the type of water out there compared to the Lake Michigan water I get in the Chicago Area. Last time I traveled I had a hard time figuring out my water to cream mix because the water was very hard.

Get a gallon jug of distilled water for $0.99 and save yourself any grief.

if you are in the Rockville area of Maryland (just outside of DC), never fear, our water is pretty decent.

Avoid the City's water (DC) as if it were Mexico.

May I suggest:

The Spy Museum

The Holocost Museum

Ben's Chilli Bowl.

Well I live just outside of DC and I don't seem to have any problems with the water, but I also can't compare it to Chicago area since I have never been. I just realized how incredibly unhelpful my post actually is, so anyway have a good time in DC. You can always pamper yourself and just go to The Gentleman's Quarters in nearby Alexandria for a daily shave or or one of the two The Art of Shaving stores in DC.

Cool! Hope you enjoy your experience. Just FYI, The Gentleman's Quarter was created as the male equivalent to their original women's spa. I can't remember what they call it, but I think it is in the building next door. Feel free to share or hide that information as you see fit. Maybe you and SWMBO can arrange spa days, do some shopping and grab a nice romantic dinner. You might earn some extra brownie points.

Edit: It is called Winsdor of Old Town
