Been getting some really nice shaves. Face and head!...and back:blush: I dont even want to use my DE anymore. I feel like its cheating, its like a bike with training wheels.

Nice to hear, a DE is still good to have around for the times when you need a quick shave.

That's a funny statement since many of the DE shavers say "it's okay to keep a Mach 3 around for when you need a quick shave." Guess it's all a matter of perspective.

I keep a 1912 around for that, but I haven't used it in a while. I just sold the last of my DEs Monday.

Sweet! I hope you enjoy the experience as much as the results.

just out of curiosity.. do you shave your own back with the straight?

i kept a feather portable around and it came in real handy last night. my straight shave wasn't at the level of closeness I was looking for and I didn't want to push another pass with the straight, since i felt by the 3rd pass closeness wasn't getting there .. and the level of comfort seemed to be going decreasing on this particular shave too. something that hasn't happened for quite a number of straight shaves.. i decided to do a quick pass with the feather and keep moving on to the rest of my day... didn't feel like cheating, it felt more like a relief from getting an overall poor (or maybe worse) shave...

Same here. I haven't touched a DE in weeks. Would've been months but snagged a slant just because I always wanted to try one so I had to take it for a spin. I'm still debating what to do with my DE's and SE's I just haven't been able to bring myself to start selling any.

I've sold all my DE stuff with the exception a EJ89L and a few blades.
