Right guys heres the deal. The local chemist is a good friend of mine, he can obtain 50,000 Gillette supersilver blades. From what he has told me and shown me via webcam, they sound and look identical to 'Swedes'. They came from the UK distribution centre for Gillette in Isleworth as closing stock this year. They are only available in packages of 1000, that's how they are packed, and they are going cheap, really cheap - $150/1000 plus shipping. Anybody who read my previous thread will now understand why I'm trying so hard to identify these blades. I have looked on SMF and from the few people who contributed have come to the conclusion that these are the same blades just manufactured for distribution in a different part of Europe. I have managed to pursuade the vendor to let me have one packet of five to try, but that is as far as he will go as he has had to break open a big box, which I have assured him if they are even so-so I would buy from him. From what I have gathered so far, European Gillettes are manufactured in only 1 or 2 locations but have slightly different wording for distribution in different parts of Europe. I will hopefully be able to tell you more when the packet arrives, but in the meantime if anybody can shed light on this or is interested let me know.
