Will using the same brush everyday greatly reduce the longevity of the brush? Is it best to rotate between 2, 3, or more brushes?

From what I've read, brushes shed, the center wears down, get sent for refurbishing, and even get moldy. Resisting is a virtue!!!!!!

Here at B&B, more is always better. Seriously, I used only one for a year and don't see where having only one would be a problem. I decided to buy more mainly for variety sake. My first wasn't that great for soaps so I bought another which was. Now I'm looking at a small third brush strictly for face lathering. Rotation is good. If I wanted a boring shave I could go back to carts and goo.

As long as you take proper care of the brush, they will last a long time. A few decades of service is definitely doable. You might decide it's done at a sooner point.
With my selection I doubt any of my brushes will wear down in my lifetime. :laugh:

No. You can use the same brush for years without problems if you take care of it properly. Most of us have many brushes because we like brushes not because we need them.
well, i've had the same thoughts,and have come to this conclusion(for what its worth): the gold standard for longevity is the care the brush receives AFTER the shave;
let it dry out thoroughly,in a downward position ( i don't understand or agree
with the brush sitting upright on its base-why wouldn't the excess moisture
your trying to drain run into the brush?)
next,follow some kind of regular cleaning (many tutorials on b&b),
and,if affordable,possible or interesred in - have several brushes;
